Hygeia provides multiple repricing options to meet the needs of our clients' capabilities and requirements. Our technology platforms utilize cutting-edge encryption to ensure the security of all electronic data transmissions.

In addition, our Partners Portal provides a secure Internet environment for clients to access their account information and perform routine online tasks across the entire spectrum of business interaction with Hygeia including geo-access provider search, online repricing, claim status check and performance reports, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

Data Formats For EDI Solutions

HIPAA Compliant X.12 4010 Format - Claims transmission using the HIPAA standard format. This is a requirement for domestic payer clients and clearinghouse vendors, but can be applied for any clients who need to comply with the HIPAA data formats. We are working to implement this standard for all users of our Secure Communication Application so all transmissions can be certified as fully HIPAA compliant.

Proprietary Format - Customized claim formats based on client need. This service is available for international clients when no consistent industry standard exists. Hygeia has devised a process to facilitate the integration of a client's proprietary claim management systems with Hygeia's repricing tools. Hygeia technology architects work closely with clients to create the appropriate translator that allows Hygeia to receive claims from clients and return the repriced data.

Turnaround

Batch EDI - Batch claim submissions to Hygeia at predetermined intervals during a workday. Automated repricings performed for hospital and physician claims. Repriced data returned to client throughout the day. Hygeia provides a secure proprietary communication application to create a HIPAA compliant link to facilitate this transfer.

Real-time EDI - Individual claim submission to Hygeia. Automated repricings performed for hospital and physician claims. Repriced claims eligible for immediate return are sent to client in seconds. Hygeia's technology architects work closely with clients to construct the link between information systems.

On-line/Browser-based Repricing - Clients access Hygeia's online repricing application through a secure web server, and view immediate results. The repriced data is available as an automated fax or email-attachment in addition to being visible on a web page. Our secure web environment is available for business transactions 24 hours per day.

Partners Portal

A secure internet-based environment for clients to perform online administrative tasks related to their cost containment program with Hygeia 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.

Clients can use this site to:

  • Refer insured members to providers participating in the Hygeia PPO network
  • Submit bills online for discount processing
  • Retrieve and view Hygeia transaction documents
  • Check transaction status
  • Submit cancellation requests online
  • Access performance reports
  • Request assistance from Hygeia related to a transaction
